Tuition Does NOT Include Airfare.   We found that over half of our students did not pay cash for their airfares.  The students (or their families or relatives) cashed in airline frequent flyer miles or redeemed credit card points, or used other non-monetary means to get their airfare.
As soon as you decide to attend OperaFest Italia, you need to move quickly to secure your airfare.  As time goes by, there are fewer free tickets available for frequent flyer miles or credit card points redemptions.  In addition, if you are paying cash for the airfare, the cheapest seats sell first.  The cost is currently (January 2015) approximately $1,800.  This cost will go up as time passes.  In our experience, by the April 1 deadline, the airfare could be $1,800 - $2,000.  Or, if you wish, we can arrange airfare for you at the prevailing rate.

Class size limited to insure individual attention.
Live audition with Miss Peterson or vocal tape, CD, DVD, or YouTube link required.
Audition consists of two contrasting classical pieces.

If I had to pick one summer that stands out in my memory, it would be the summer of 2009 when I participated in Operafest. Not only did I meet new incredible, talented people, but I also grew tremendously as a solo and group performer. The experience was definitely intense, but in the best way possible. The instructors taught me so many valuable lessons and I even found myself learning form my peers. I highly recommend this program for dedicated singers who want to learn about opera technique and performance, as well as many other aspects of the art of vocal performance!
